Chappuis had five victories and six second places this season.

Jason Lamy Chappuis, "Today is a very nice day for me. I was quite nervous about this weekend because Akito was in very good shape and I was struggling with my ski jumping. It was a long and tiring season and I did not have any feelings in my legs anymore. So, I tried to think about nothing and just soar through the air. On the whole, the season has been great. I managed a lot of victories and second places and of course, the overall." "It is great having won the overall again. I don't know how many of these days will follow, but I'm not chasing a special number of overall victories."

Final World Cup standings: 1. Jason Lamy Chappuis (FRA) 1306, 2. Akito Watabe (JPN) 1238, 3. Mikko Kokslien (NOR) 1061, 4. Bernhard Gruber (AUT) 765, 5. Björn Kircheisen (GER) 728, 6. Eric Frenzel (GER) 727.
